To support activities in the lead up to and during the provincial election this coming spring, CIVIX is organizing several Democracy Bootcamp events for Alberta teachers.
Each Democracy Bootcamp will feature experts discussing Alberta politics and challenges facing our democracy. Workshops will focus on strategies for fostering constructive discussion in the classroom, resources for teaching about perspectives and biases, as well as disinformation and verification skills. We will also preview Student Vote Alberta materials and discuss best practices for election engagement.
Complimentary lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
