More than 32,000 elementary and high school students participated in Student Vote Manitoba, coinciding with the 2023 provincial election.
After learning about government and democracy, researching the parties and platforms, and debating the future of the province, students cast their ballots for the official candidates running in their school’s electoral division.

As of October 6, 2023, 32,011 total votes were reported from 297 schools, with results from 56 of 57 electoral divisions. This includes 29,302 valid ballots, 1,108 rejected ballots and 630 declined ballots.
- The NDP took 43.5% of the popular vote and won 39 seats, forming a majority government. Wab Kinew won his seat in Fort Rouge.
- The Progressive Conservatives will form the official opposition with 16 seats. The PCs won 32.4% of the popular vote. Heather Stefanson lost her seat in Tuxedo.
- The Liberal Party received 17.4% of the popular vote and won 1 seat. Dougald Lamont lost his seat in St. Boniface.
- The Green Party received 3.9% of the popular vote but failed to win any seats. Janine Gibson lost her seat in Wolseley.
- The Keystone Party received 1.4% of the popular vote but did not win a seat. Kevin Friesen lost his seat in Turtle Mountain.
